Dream Capture adds H.264 support

The Dream Apps has released Dream Capture 2.2, an update to their video recording software for Mac OS X. A free update for registered users, Dream Capture costs $9.95.

Dream Capture is aimed at iSight users, though it works with other cameras. It enables you to record and upload video to video sharing Web sites, import into iMovie or GarageBand and again.

New to the 2.2 release is auto-focusing technology derived from Apple’s Shake software. H.264 video encoding has been added, along with metadata help because of iTunes 8 import. DreamSync, The Dream Apps’ audio compression technology, is also a new addition, and an audio-only recording mode has moreover been added.

System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
