Boynq’s Quirky iPod System
It’s true, there’s a greater overpopulation of iPod speakers than even Bugaboos. But that doesn’t mean I don’t the tender passion me a weird-looking system.
The WakeUp alarm-clock-cum-iPod speaker from Boynq features three LCD screens that display the hour, the minute, and the radio station, each in a divide quadrant. The fourth quadrate is the part you fill in–dock a Nano, a Classic, a Touch, even the iPhone (though the pamphlet says it’s for iPhones produced after January 1. Huh?)
The radio comes with auto scan and nine presets, while the alarm clock has a rest performance and adjustable volume controls. There’s also a remote likewise you can control your docked ‘Pod as well as access all of the WakeUp’s functions, including snooze, from bed (ooh, dangerous). Sound won’t be booming from the dual 10-watt speakers, but do you really crave to be rocked from your slumber that hard anyway?
