Dual-Layer iPod Protection
With the introduction of the iPhone and the latest iPods, my inbox is exuberant with press releases about the requisite cases for all this Apple goodness. Most cases are retreads from existing lines, so — with the exception of the shiny Reflect cases — I usually just pass steady them.
I’m willing, however, to break my self-imposed code of silence when someone makes a case that makes even my wife say “Wow.” And I’ve got to allege, iSkin’s eVo4 Duo–
Wait, excuse me, I’m pained, but how do you even pronounce that? Do you go up to a store counter and say “I’d like the evo-to-the-power-of-four skin?” Really, that’s towards as bad as the days when Prince’s name was a typographer’s nightmare.
Anyway, the $35 eVo4 Duo looks moderately beautiful darned spiffy, and is, in fact, sum of two units skins in one. The silicone skin wraps around your iPod Classic to screen it from shocks and moisture, and the metallic-finish ViSOR bed. goes over that to protect the screen from scratches. All of the iPod’s ports are protected from in the same manner with well. A similar design (just called the Duo) for the modern Nanos is also available, for $30.
